Some things!

OMG necklace. That a really sweet girl gave to me when I was out and a super cute cream headband with pearls sewn onto it, that I made ^_^

Flamingo lights. They hang over my sewing room door and light my living room.

My toy babies! Myashmyash and bunny (I designed/made them both) and an ikea spider.

So I had a great weekend, on Friday, my friends bought me a fridge for my house, and afterward we hung out in my empty-ish living room playing monopoly and making things out of wool and writing nonsense stories and eating pizza.

After making wool things with my friends on Friday night, I decided to continue the fun by making headbands on Saturday.

My mum took me to pick up my fridge, which is shiny black and dark chrome and we got me a microwave that matches. We then went shopping at the market near me. I got a fantastic 50s breadboard, complete with inscribed bread knife and smoking mexican on a donkey.

I cooked for the first time in my new house. I realised, despairingly, as I began, that I do not know how to cook. That being said, the food I created was quite successful and healthy. All kidney beans and tomatoes and pasta and stuff (actually, there wasn't really much "stuff"). Not having any cutlery or utensils yet, I cooked using a potato masher and Luke and I made do with a tablespoon measure and a plastic spork.

Dinner preceded going out to play with some friends the first time in several weeks. Apple UDLs and Strawberry Indos made for a predominately sweet, tasty and intoxicated evening.

Also went marketing with Luke on Sunday morning, wandered to the Rundle St markets too, but found them a bit commercial. It was nice spending time with Luke again.

I really love living on my own. I feel so free and relaxed. I can do things on my own time, and I feel neither guilty nor pressured nor the need to meet expectations. And I now have some stuff in my apartment!

(not very much yet)

(need a wardrobe)

My sewing room is a pit of despair - or just really disorganised. Either way, it's frustrating because I'd like it to be a useful and productive space already. Shelves soon. And a table. Then I can finish sewing the fabulous cushion covers I started making, and make all the other things I want.
